Language Assessment Literacy: Insights for Educating English Language Teachers through Assessment

At some point, language teachers need to be engaged in assessment their profession. Because is such a primary task for teachers, the field of testing encouraging research around knowledge, skills, and principles that are foundational sound assessment. In this paper, I provide definition Language Assessment Literacy (LAL), especially when it comes by reviewing existing models. then discuss ongoing issues area end paper offering teacher educators suggestions fostering LAL among pre- in-service teachers. article, argue that, if more initiatives take place, we collectively raising status nature its impact on teachers’ professional development.
